Deftones, KL Live Feb 2011

Finally, Deftones have come to our shores! A band that is much awaited by a huge following here. I believe some of them have waited since 14 years ago. Or at least awaited by me since I was 15 years old. Anyways I am pretty sure that they were more than welcomed by this full house gig.  Seriously, I thought the whole KL rock scene came down to the show! It’s not every rock gig where you can see quality a in a large quantity of crowd to a rock show. But this one has it. Read the rest of this page »

Copeland, Farewell Tour, May 10

This is a band that was going to disband and giving their last final tour. This was also their first time coming to Kuala Lumpur. So this was my first and last time seeing Copeland’s live performance. To be honest,  did not know what to expect from Copeland.

As it turned out their performance was really impressive. This is the performance you would expect from anyone. Giving their fullest to the very end. It was also kinda emotional to see a band like this soon to be apart. They also had a huge following from the locals here.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Esplanade Singapore, Jan 2010

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs ran down the show like there was no tomorrow. It was raw and it was chaotic.  The night was filled with Karen O giving countless dramatic pose and holding her mic up in the air.

Zee Avi, March 2010

It was her long awaited homecoming show in Malaysia. The night was full of emotions, she even got her dad on stage.

Zee Avi’s songs are mostly on acoustic sets, which is not an easy task to catch the emotions and energy. But she was a great performer and I was lucky to get some good shots.

For this gig, I was lucky enough to shoot throughout the entire show. Normally, photographers only allowed during during the first three songs.

Green Day, Singapore Indoor Stadium, Jan 2010

The band needs no introduction. Everyone have their own stories of Green Day. At a certain point of your lives, their songs could have sung your heart anthem…at least a song. ..Or two…Or more. I have a story to tell. A very awkward one, but at least it’s a story. Read the rest of this page »
